If you are looking for an intelligent and contemporary voice, I encourage you to consider author Jamie S. Rich. He wrote the incredible graphic novel “12 Reasons Why I Love Her,” which I wrote an Amazon review on:
The illustrator, Joelle Jones, created illustrations that are so smart, smooth, and beautiful that they are beyond my abilities to compliment sufficiently. (I hope to do post(s) on that book and those illlustrations someday.)

This is a beautiful story. It’s compellingly written and I read it twice back to back. It made me both sad and happy and made me think of stories parents tell their children of their romance. Beautiful.
