Gostei do seu blog. Eu estava pesquisando retratos do Botticelli para fazer uma comparação com retratos do Modigliani. Muito boas as fotos.

i love this era of painting, the skill in these photographic artists is a touch unnerving. my favourite is Vermeer, however the Scarlet Johansen version of Girl With A Pearl Earring has picked up on all the wrong aspects of the original painting.

The girl in the painting is wearing blue and yellow for a reason, to create harmony. But the addition of the red in the S J version spoils that.

Also the girl in the original painting is positioned deliberately to make the viewer wonder why she is turned away but is looking back. Is she running away and does not want to leave? Is it a longing stare of passion at a time where she must leave the one she loves? Who knows. However S J is clearly positioned on a chair pouting at the camera as if she were getting paid an obscene amount of money to not give a shit.

Love the photos of Paula too. Shes such a naturally pretty girl with a talented father.
