There’s a sports saying, “Leave it all on the field.” When I look at Robert Crumb’s artistry, I think, ”He leaves it all on the paper.” He doesn’t often pull his punches. He portrays the world as he see it, and I feel lucky and happy to have seen some of his ideas and perspectives.

OneMoreOption: You could be correct. My best recollection is that he was paid a minimal sum, but did not receive the original artwork back. And I believe he has seen it sold for high prices subsequently. Either way, an injustice was done. Thank you for your comment.
This was originally on an album cover. I have one of the covers (and the album) I’ve always wondered if it was worth anything other than enjoyment value.
