The photographs in this post are from what is commonly known as The Beatles “Last Photo Shoot.”  It occurred on August 22, 1969 at John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Tittenhurst Park home in Ascot, England.

The photographers were Ethan Russell, Monte Fresco, and Mal Evans. 

Some of the images were used for the “Hey Jude” Beatles compilation album front and back covers.

Linda and Yoko were present that day at the photo shoot.  Linda gave birth 6 days later to Mary Anna McCartney on August 28, 1969.  Mary is pictured below, on Paul’s first solo album and on his lap playing the drums.

John and Yoko lived at Tittenhurst until moving to New York in August 1971.  John would never return to England again.  John died on December 8, 1980.
