Women Artists by Margaret Barlow
Today at the bookstore, I encountered a lovely edition of “Women Artists” by Margaret Barlow. I highly recommend the book. It is an excellent introductory survey of important artworks created by women over the last several hundred years. The book introduced me to the following extraordinary artworks:
“Self Portrait with Nude” by Dame Laura Knight
“Marsh Mallows” by Dame Laura Knight
“The Two Bathers” by Suzanne Valadon
“Suzanne Valadon” by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen
“Suzanne Valadon” by Pierre-Auguste Renoir
“Suzanne Valadon” by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
“Suzanne Valadon” by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
Other artworks by Suzanne Valadon:
“La Echadora De Cartas” by Suzanne Valadon
Another artwork I admired, but I cannot find a good example of was “Jeux D’Enfants” by Dorothea Tanning.

Suzanne Valadon is an incredible painter. And I love the pastel Lautrec did of her. Gorgeous!
