The Artistic Effect?

  ~ by OneMoreOption

When you have left a room, have you attempted to leave it better than when you entered?

Looking back on your conversations, did you attempt to leave the other person better off?

Would you know how to make something better?

Do you believe in a concept of “better”?  Does “better” exist?  Can you bring “better” into effect?

Consider the projects you have participated in.  Were the people or places better off after your participation?  How could a person measure such concepts?  Should a person attempt to measure such effects?

Can you act the parts?  Paint the scenes?  Accompany the tunes?

Do you understand you cannot predict or control the outcome?  Are you sometimes powerless to either cast the part or play the part?

What if you can only write your part?  What if you can’t write the effect?  What if you can’t write the ending?

What if you can only make a considerate attempt?  Is that enough?  Will you still make your best attempt?

I hope so.
