The Good Parts, Asking Questions, And Conversation
The Good Parts
When we’re young, many of us want to get to the good parts of life.
As we mature, we may see more of the good in all of the parts.
Bright people work to make each part as good as it can be.

Asking Questions
I recently asked some questions of an artist I admire. He kindly answered them.
Ask questions you really want answered. This is far more difficult to do than it may sound, because often our brains may deter us from asking some of the questions we are curious about. Our brains often self-censor.
Adding further difficulty, it’s often very difficult to find a person with the uncommon knowledge you seek.
When you think of questions, write them down somewhere. Make a list of the questions you’d like answered someday.

Conversation
Most people probably get into patterns of conversation. Many people probably don’t understand how their conversational responses confine them socially. Our responses define us.
Within 3 minutes of conversation with you, often less, most people can define you more than you may realize. Often those conclusions may be inaccurate, but they have the same effect. Inaccurate conclusions often carry as much effect as accurate ones.
Ultimately, what you say or do over the long-term will be more important. But people don’t understand their appearance is not what most often disqualifies them from others’ social consideration. More often, what we say precludes us.
