Commentary: I wept when I watched “Dead Poets Society” at a sneak preview when it was first released in theaters. I love the film’s audacity. I wept, feeling the tragedy. I bought into it fully.
I remember my own feeling of wonder from choosing to study literature, and how thoroughly pleased I was with that choice again and again. I believe in well-chosen words.
